MOC Staff Takes One In The Face For A Good Cause
Thursday afternoon (March 21), select staff and faculty members took one for the team. They took it in the face, the shoulders, legs and just about anywhere else students could target. The purpose -- to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
For the price of a single dollar, anyone could purchase a whipped cream pie and take aim at the volunteer target of their choice. With a strong gusty wind, many tosses were off-target, but with a good showing of support from the Mount Olive students and staff, there were enough pies flying to get all the targets nice and white.
The event was hosted by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and by the end of the day, more than $100 was raised for Make-A-Wish.
Participating as targets for the throwers were: Dr. Mickael Cariveau, Assistant Professor of Biology; Jeff Eisen, Director of Athletics; Dr. Brenda Cates, Professor of Science and Mathematics; Dr. Norman Crumpacker, Assistant Professor of Business; Jackie Hill, Assistant Professor of Library Science; Dr. Christopher Skinner, Assistant Professor of Religion; Nicole Lach, Assistant Director of Campus Life; Dan Sullivan, Vice-president for Student Affairs; Dr. Burt Lewis, Head Tennis Coach; and Kristen Gibson, Head Athletic Trainer.
